TWIN MAGAZINE X OLIVIER THEYSKENS’ THEORY LAUNCH PARTY

Images courtesy of Lauren Michelle Pires

Firstly, WHAT A SMALL ROOM FOR SUCH A LARGE GUESTLIST!
More time was spent queuing to get back in to the Sanderson Hotels billiard room than in the room itself. The highlight of the night had to be 'Operation Julie''s performance, a three piece band fronted by Irina Lazareanu. Taking to the stage around an hour late, the model didn't hold back when singing her somewhat catchy chorus of 'COCAAAIIIINEEEE!'. Despite her attempts to get the audience (made up of Kristen McMenamy, Erin O’Connor and Bip Ling) to sing along, many just stood and giggled nervously looking into their empty champagne glasses and wishing the bar had not already dried up at 9.30.

Oh and the gift bag, god bless those gift bags.
Here's me and my OLIVIER THEYSKENS’ THEORY t-shirt. I still can't really work out who the image is of... Jesus or Charles Manson?

EXIT MAGAZINE x ADIDAS x ABSOLUT x LFW PARTY

(above) Me by the amazing Dieter Brandenberg
(below) Horrendous photography by yours truly.

Taking place in the not-so-chic setting of Holborns' Old Sorting Office, the EXIT MAGAZINE x ADIDAS party was certainly one of LFW's party perks.
With what seemed like a never ending supply of ABSOLUT vodka cocktails, Tweet and Missy Elliot's 90's classic on replay, a plethora of street fashion icons and a jolly lack of bag bashers, Saturday 17th October was one of the best nights I've had in a long time.

Film: Dogtooth

I recently saw a film called dogtooth. It's by yorgos lanthimos, a greek man who's name I can barely pronounce let alone remember (which makes pulling off a civilised conversation about 'world cinema' a damn sight harder). The film revolves around a creepy man, his disillusioned wife, their 25 year old 'children', and at times a perverted security guard. Banned from leaving their home before their dogtooth has fallen out and miraculously regrown, the 'children' live a controlled and debauched life under the eye of creepy dad; watching videos of themselves for entertainment catching airplanes out the sky and licking each others keyboards.

Amazing as it was, the film has now left me with a fear of cats, cars, white vests, swimming pools, teeth and video cameras.

lykke li- jerome

thank god 'jerome's' a name that i can't put to a face- there's nothing worse than listening to a song that mentions the name of your former uni-browed chemistry teacher.

this is amazing and she is a god.

alex turner- stuck on the puzzle (from the 'submarine' soundtrack)

goes best with a good cup of tea and those brown sugary biscuits; the ones they always give you in cafes that you often dismiss.
